The final theatrical poster (shown above) for “Rogue One:  A Star Wars Story” was released by Director Gareth Edwards yesterday, October 12, 2016. In the poster, we see the members of Rogue One, including Jyn Erso. Also shown are the Death Star and Darth Vader in the background. Knowing that the Death Star is in the poster tells us, the viewers, that stealing the ultimate weapon may be what the mission is for the members of Rogue One in Lucasfilm’s first standalone Star Wars film.

The Star Wars site stated further:

“This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.”

Trailer Release

Today, Lucasfilm released the final trailer for the film. In this trailer we are able to get a better shot of Darth Vader’s presence. Below, you will find the links to the Celebration Reel and the to the much anticipated trailer:

The film hits theaters on December 16, 2016.
